Nor does she want to admit to them that her surviving the curse doesn’t mean that Bernadette’s Curse has been broken.

Determined to break Bernadette’s Curse once and for all, Dodie and Leopold, the warlock she loves, work together not only to find the key that will set the Doherty descendants free, but also an antidote to rid Dodie of Anson’s claim on her.

Dodie Jenks Callahan’s summer before her senior year isn’t off to a promising start. While Leopold, her boyfriend/husband, is away working for his coven, she’s living at home and working at a local bakery. Could things be any worse? Well, yes, as she discovers when Anson Parker drops by, begging her to go before the coven Elders and plead his case so he might get his powers restored. Like she has any sway over the Elders of Leopold’s coven. She isn’t even a witch.

But Anson claims he needs his power back so he can help a new acquaintance, Peri Jovani. He’s certain the girl is possessed by a demonic force and will surely die if no one steps in to save her. Dodie can’t believe Anson would seek her help after he tried to destroy her, and although she suspects he’s up to his old tricks, she’s also curious about Peri and wants to learn more about the situation.
