What are you Reading Thursdays

Over the weekend I read Bah Humbug by Heather Horrocks, a romantic comedy Christmas Novella. This is a sweet romance about a woman who is finally content on her own and raising her two children, but when they move to a new town and house she meets her new neighbor and things immediately change. This was a quick and enjoyable read. I was lucky enough to get it as a free download off of Amazon, so you might too. It’s always nice to try a new author this way.

Blurb:

Lexi Anderson is an up-and-coming, Martha Stewart-type TV hostess whose two kids love the Jared Strong adventure novels, which happen to be written by their new neighbor, Kyle Miller. For the first time in his writing career, Kyle has writer’s block–until he sees the snowman on his lawn and realizes it’s the perfect solution to his plot problem. He digs in and discovers two things: one, his villain’s weapon will fit inside a snowman’s body, and two, this particular snowman was supposed to be the backdrop for Lexi’s next show. From this improbable beginning comes friendship, but can there be a happy ending for a woman who is afraid to get close again and a man who has shadows from his childhood?

Bah, Humbug is a very cute Christmas story. It is a story filled full of emotions of finding new love and healing from family loss. Ms. Horrock’s delivers a believable story of when meeting the right person at the right time in your life can change everything. I know you will enjoy falling in love with Lexi and Kyle and the whole Miller clan.
