Random Thoughts Tuesday

Went to Pigeon Forge yesterday. Weatherman said it would be foggy. True. Weatherman said it would be in the 60s, but would slowly climb to 71 by noon. False. In Pigeon Forge it was in the low 80s. Sun was shining so it was hot. Hot. Hot. I was dressed too warm. I was uncomfortable.

So my thought is Weatherman get with the program. Talk it out with mother nature before you tell us wrong. Right?  It happens all the time. The forecast will be for one thing and we get another. We always have to guesstimate whether to believe it or not, but it makes it harder when you are traveling for an outing.

But despite my being uncomfortable in my clothing, we had a great day. I got to go to Margaritaville and have overpriced Key Lime Pie (BTW, it was delicious) while listening to Jimmy Buffett sing “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere”. I spent time with my son and didn’t embarrass him too much, hung out with my friend and writing pal, Juli Alexander. We plotted, discussed writing while my son steered us away from the Ole Smoky Moonshine store. I guess he was afraid we’d try too many of the samples and he’d be stuck on The Island.

Today looks like another warm, sunny, and beautiful one. Enjoy it! We might not have too many more before cooler weather sets in.
