This week I read the début story by Jacci DeVera. Heavy Handed is a heart-warming sensual short story about Jake Merritt’s attempt to get his life back on tack after a bad breakup and losing his family property. Moving from Kentucky to Tennessee, he buys a farm, but no one shares with him one important detail. The property is cursed. Alicia is the mysterious dark haired beauty that shows up haunting his mind and his body. Together they find love in an odd way, but it’s a healing and enduring love that strips away the scars of the past. Though this is a short story I believe you will enjoy their journey.
