I spent most of the day with my mom. I hope that you did too. We went to church this morning and then had lunch. Watched a comedy on Turner Classic Movie channel.
Thinking back on Mother’s Day events as a child we would always wear a new rose bloom from our rose bush to church to represent that our mother’s are alive. My grandmother wore a white rose or lily because her mother had passed on. Somewhere along the way that practice has vanished. Only a few still do this. I counted maybe two at church today.
Do you have any rituals or practices that your family kept associated with Mother’s Day? I hope you had a pleasant day.
