This week I started a very funny book Trouble in Mudbug by Jana DeLeon. I got it as a #free read on Amazon. It is the first in the Ghost-in-Law Mystery Series. The opening scenes are funny and I have laughed on every page. So if you like a funny read this is turning out to be one I am really enjoying. Since I just started I’m not going to give a full review, just telling you what I’m reading and that so far this would be a keeper if I had the print copy. It was originally published by Dorchester in 2009.
A little about the book: Scientist Maryse Robicheaux thought that a lot of her problems had gone away with her mother-in-law’s death. The woman was rude, pushy, manipulative and used her considerable wealth to run herd over the entire town of Mudbug, Louisiana.
Unfortunately, death doesn’t slow down Helena one bit.
DEA Agent Luc LeJeune is wondering what his undercover assignment investigating the sexy scientist has gotten him into – especially as it seems someone wants her dead. Keeping his secrets while protecting Maryse proves to be easier than fighting his attraction for the brainy beauty.
When I checked out DeLeon’s website I saw she writes for Harlequin Intrigue so if you are into romantic suspense be sure to give her a look.
