I woke to the glorious sounds of pitter patter on my roof this morning. It was raining!! It was also thundering and a few flashes of light streaked the dark sky, but there was the blessed rain. The showers didn’t last long, but I hope it did some good for our gardens and the poor, poor grass that is turning brown all too soon. We have corn tasseling and I can’t wait to get the first ears for boiling so we need the rain to have good corn. Our green bean plants are already looking withered from the lack of rain.
