Today we had choir practice before the evening service. We are preparing for our Christmas service the first Sunday in December and this was our first practice with the orchestra. It went really well I think. It was nice to hear the electric guitars, drums, trumpets, french horn, flute, clarinet, baritone, xylophone and kettle drums with the songs we will sing for that program. We normally only practice with the piano and organ each week.
After practice we had our evening worship service which included communion. This was the first time many of the new deacon that were ordained a few weeks ago had participated in the service in this capacity. It went smoothly
Now I’m home, wrapped in a blanket, sharing a bowl of popcorn with my shi tzu and waiting for Once Upon a Time to come on in a few minutes. Not a bad end to a really good day.
