Today was out Thanksgiving service at church. We honored Veterans and we had a dinner after the morning service. It was very good. Turkey, ham, dressing, gravy, and rolls along with coffee, water, and tea is provided. Everyone else brings covered dish or dishes to round out the meal.
Sigh. I try not to eat too much, but I always come away feeling like I did. It’s nice that we do it a few weeks before Thanksgiving now because in the past it was always the Sunday of Thanksgiving week and that made it a little too much food too close together. Now as other ministries have things going on within the church it makes it easier to have it the 2nd Sunday of November.
As always there was a good turn out. No one went away hungry, spiritually or physically.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
