We started our mid-Winter revival at church this morning. Rev. Lee Hickman is the visiting preacher and he spoke on The far away country which is the land that the prodigal son traveled to when he left his father’s to start a life on his own. But if you know the story, you know the son did not fare well. He hit rock bottom. But when he made it back home, his father ran to him with open arms and welcomed him. That is the God is to us. He welcomes us home when we stray. He wants us to be with him. Like a good Shepard, God with leave the 99 to search for the one lost lamb, but we are all precious to Him.
I’m looking forward to hearing the other messages during this mini revival.
