Recipe Tuesday

This is a recipe for Butter Mints if you are having a shower or a party and want to serve something refreshing and sweet. You’ll need a rubber mold for shaping these delights. So plan ahead and visit your local cake decorating store or department at a local discount store.

Butter Mints

  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 pound confectioner sugar (sifted)

Mix all ingredients together in a blender. Color as desired. Make into small balls; press down onto wax paper or use desired mold to shape on waxed paper. Let dry in the open for at least one day. Yield: about 50 mints, depending on size of mold.

Note: If you are like me and you enjoy these mints you may want to double the recipe so you will have plenty for when you have to do a taste test to make sure they are edible. 😉
