The pastor at the church where I grew up resigned today because of health reasons. He came there in 1988, performed the wedding ceremony for my brother in 1994, performed my wedding ceremony in 1998, was at the hospital the evening I was having my son in 1999, preached my grandfathers funeral in 2000, and helped with my grandmothers in 2006. I’m saddened that he is ill and must give up his church, but we never know what will happen in our lives or where the Lord will lead us.
