For the past few days I have been reviewing memos and revising them, pulling data together to update the semester calendar of important dates and reading countless emails from graduate students who have questions about financial aid, funding, and when their tuition will be paid. I’m not complaining. This is part of my job and I’m their go to person to get many of these questions answered.
You say that doesn’t sound like fun reading. No, but reading isn’t always fun or should we say pleasurable. Sometimes it’s educational but even that can be enjoyable. And other times it’s to gain information that we need.
But the week has not all been a loss. I did get a few pages read on Sunday from the book I’m reading, but my vision was a little blurry even with my reading glasses. So I decided to stop before I caused any damage. I’d rather be safe than sorry later on. I don’t want to have to wear glasses all the time.
