This week let’s talk about Heroines. Not all heroes are male. Plenty have been female down through history. They’ve been brave, shown courage, taken a risk and come out on top. A few who come to mind are Joan of Ark, Betsy Ross, Martha Washington, Pocahontas, Susan B Anthony, Clara Barton /Florence Nightingale, Sacajawea, Amelia Earhart, Harriet Tubman, Princess Diana and the list could go on and on.

You’re right. We don’t always read about the historical heroines. One of my favorites, although she died too early, was the Celt queen Boadicea, who led a revolt against the Roman occupiers.
