As we approach Thanksgiving, let us be reminded of those heroic pilgrims who left their homeland in England in pursuit of religious freedom that brought them to the wilderness land of America. Those courageous men and women who made it possible for us to live in this land of freedom and democracy. Their sacrifices have given us many things to be thankful for over the years. It’s given me a rich historical base that I can use when writing my own early American set romances. If it wasn’t for the Revolutionary or Civil Wars America wouldn’t be the country we live in. So let’s give thanks and raise a cup of cider to these nameless men and women who gave their all many many years ago.
