It will rain in Alexandria and Washington, D.C. even if the forecast doesn’t call for it so be prepared. It has happened two days in a row.
A drum set can be made from pretty much anything. Kids love to beat on pots and pans. But adult men can make music out of empty gallon buckets, plastic trashcans and a store buggy. Heard some pretty awesome music today outside the Smithsonian Museum of American History.
Trying to give a little culture to a teenage boy by taking him to the National Gallery of Art is not going to work. I heard more groaning and complaining and threats to leave me there than I think I’ve ever heard come from my sons mouth today. Needless to say I had to cut my visit short.
If the weather permits we will go to Mt. Vernon tomorrow.
