Today the children's choir opened the service singing two songs: Heaven's Going to Shine and I'm Gonna Sing, I'm Gonna Shout. They do a wonderful job, putting their little hearts into the songs. You could feel the Holy Spirit in the church and it did not leave when the children finished. It stayed and blessed… Continue reading Sunday Sundaes
Today is Vacation Bible School Commencement during the Sunday School hour. The kids in the younger classes learned songs during the week to sing. It is a blessing to listen to them and watch the youngest of the classes perform. They seem to be the largest group and yet they don't really sing. They might… Continue reading Sunday Sundaes

Today I spent time singing for a church family as they said goodbye to their mother. Occasionally the choir is asked to sing at funerals and we were asked to do this one. It is such a blessing to be able to sing about hope of a brighter day. Normally this blog is about memories, but today… Continue reading Sunday Sundaes

But we've had such a mild winter and early spring this year that the orange Tiger Lilies have bloomed. Growing up, the second Sunday in June was Homecoming at the church where we went. For those… Continue reading Sunday Sundaes
